President claims others are lying

The following letter was forwarded to my local newspaper yesterday. I hope they print it. Please feel free to adapt and use.

I find amusing the headline “President says everyone else is lying.” This headline involves a president and his sycophants attempting to blame others for his misinformation and mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic which continues to this day. Per an ABC/ ISPOs poll, 67% of Americans disapprove of his handling of the pandemic. Until he focuses on helping Americans instead of how it makes him look, he will continue to misinform us and more Americans will get sick and die. Pandemics do not care about optics.

  1. Note to Readers: Per a Politico article today called “‘None of us lie’: Coronavirus testing czar rejects Trump’s attacks on health officials,” the following opening paragraphs may be of interest:

“Adm. Brett Giroir, the Trump administration’s coronavirus testing czar, on Tuesday rejected President Donald Trump’s suggestion that his own public health officials are liars.

‘Look, we may occasionally make mistakes based on the information we have, but none of us lie. We are completely transparent with the American people,’ Giroir toldNBC’s ‘Today Show.'”

  2. What will he do and say, should he lose the election in November?
Like someone else who by his own mistakes, flaws, bitterness and hubris caused suffering and then blamed the entire nation about him for his failure?

    • Roger, take it to the bank, he will say he was cheated. He has been laying the groundwork for more than a year, by refusing to make Russian meddling an issue. My guess, he will have to be walked out the door after the Congress or the Supreme Court validates. I will be surprised if he accepts the results. Keith

      • Roger, he certainly gives people reason to question his capacity. As his memory faded, Reagan would use movie scenes in his speeches as if they were rule. The incumbent just invents stories. Keith

  3. Note to Readers: This action is modus operandi of the president. For some reason, he figures lying on an issue is to his advantage. When the lie stops working, he has to invent new lies to cover, try to rewrite history and enlist his toadies to support his lies. He continues to misinform on this issue to this day.
