You might be a conspiracy parrot

Comedian Jeff Foxworthy is famous for his “you might be a redneck” bit making fun of himself and people he has observed. Using the pacing of his bit, please consider the following regarding conspiracy parrots.

-If you believe Jewish space lasers are causing wildfires, then you might be a conspiracy parrot.
-If you believe that 27 people were not killed at Sandy Hook, then you might be a conspiracy parrot.
-If you believe the Parkland High School shooting was a hoax, then you might be a conspiracy parrot.
-If you believe the former president won the election and it was stolen from him, you might be a conspiracy parrot.
-If you believe the former president did not invite and incite violence on the capitol building, you might be a conspiracy parrot.
-If you believe Hillary Clinton was running a child pornography ring from a pizza parlor in DC, then you might be a conspiracy parrot.

These themes are bounced around the popular conspiracy platforms. It should be noted the Sandy Hook hoax concept was used like a hammer by Alex Jones of Infowars. He lost a lawsuit for bringing mental anguish to the loved ones of victims. It should be also noted a North Carolina man is in jail for believing the child pornography story showing up at a pizza parlor armed and dangerous.

And, numerous people have been arrested for storming the capitol building on January 6 after buying into the former president’s BS about the election. The full word BS was used by the Attorney General William Barr to define the former president’s bogus claims to his face.

    • Jeff, I have been leaving messages with more reasonable Republican senators beseeching them to hold the former president to account. What happened January 6 was a shameful insurrection and, of course, the former president had a heavy hand in it. I said it is shame only ten GOP representatives voted to impeach and they are getting vilified. I list the better senators and congress people who have left or are leaving – Portman, Corker, Flake, Hurd, etc. These are what are needed not conspiracy minded folks who believe Sandy Hook was a hoax and Jewish lasers are causing wildfires. Keith

      • Good on you Keith for making that effort. “Reasonable” Republicans are few and far between these days. But, there are a few of them. I bet if the impeachment vote were a secret ballot, they’d convict the disgraced former president. But, that’s the only way in my view. Otherwise, they’ll take the cowardly way out, just as they’ve done for the past 4 years. Very sad.

  1. Hello Keith. Do you think people who get into legal trouble costing them money from their actions during the terrorist riot at the capital can sue tRump claiming he is at fault for inciting them and they believed him? Hugs

    • Scottie, that would be fitting. What is interesting, while Trump is denying accountability, six of the accused are saying Trump influenced them. Keith

  2. Note to Readers: From an article by Rick Rojas of The New York Times this morning, these are the words of someone who voted for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene:

“’It’s embarrassing,’ Ashley Shelton, a stay-at-home mother who voted for Ms. Greene, said of the controversy. She thought former President Donald J. Trump would serve another term and saw Ms. Greene as ‘a backup, a comfort.’

‘I think she’s kind of a loose cannon, Ms. Shelton said before paraphrasing a line from the Old Testament: “The wise are the quiet ones,’ she said. ‘The more she opens her mouth, the less evidence of her wisdom.’

  3. I love what you did using Foxworthy’s format! I was sickened and disgusted by McCarthy’s little slap on the wrist to Greene yesterday, but what really put me over the edge was that she actually received a standing ovation from congressional republicans! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. They have lost their consciences and are only concerned with money & power.

    • Peg, that does not surprise me, but that is precisely what he is. How can a grown person be such a petulant toddler? I got my two sons laughing asking them to say what the former president says using a toddler’s voice. Keith
